First there was Ed Placencia’s review, followed by a glowing review on Laughspin, and now entertainment blog Under the Gun has chimed in.

Here’s a teaser of the review written by UTG’s comedy writer Angie Frissore.

“Newman’s material is not only hilarious and well-timed, but also personal. Each of his jokes shows you a glimpse of Newman’s true personality – and this openness instantly generates a huge amount of likability that keeps you eager for more.”

Rooftop would like to extend many thanks to Max “Production Intern for the month of July” Fox for spending part of his summer working for us.

Max is a great comic and a great friend of ours. Originally from New York City and currently living in Boston where he attends Emerson College, Max was a stand out performer at the 2009 National College Comedy Competition. He was so good, in fact, we asked him to come San Francisco last summer to participate in our first ever “Talent Institute,” a month long intensive program providing the nation’s most promising college comedians the training and support they need to launch their entertainment careers. Five students were selected through a highly competitive application process that drew hundreds of applicants from around the country; the Max was one of them.

When Max asked to join our production team this summer, we were honored to oblige. He spent the month of July analyzing and producing content for the site, enjoying the delectable $5 all you can eat buffet at the Gold Club, and being his delightful jackass self.

Max has a bright future in comedy. We’re very grateful that he shared his many talents with us this summer. Good luck, Maxy!
