FIVE FAST QUESTIONS FOR THE SILVER NAIL WINNERS
Rooftop Comedy Productions is proud to release this year’s Silver Nails album. Sampling the best underground comics out there, this album is a must-have for all comedy enthusiasts. We caught up with this year’s Silver Nails winners for some quick questions. The 2011 Silver Nails album is available now on iTunes.
1. Where will you keep your Silver Nail award?
DAVE THOMASON: Melted down and buried in preparation for the global economic collapse.
EMILY HELLER: I’m gonna stick it in the heart of a vampire. Let me know if you know any!
2. Finish the following sentence: Inspiration is _______________.
KARL HESS: Inspiration is never having to say you’re sorry.
RON FUNCHES: Inspiration is Lisa Rangitsch, Malcolm Funches, Melanie Truhett, over due bills, and bad neighborhoods.
3. Weiner or Schwarzenegger. Who’s the master of seduction?
BETH STELLING: Neither could get me into bed. It takes more than just a dickshot Tweet or a steady housekeeping job, I’ll tell you that!
DAVE THOMASON: Neither. I prefer third-party seducers. Libertarians are really good at pretending they’re not interested in you.
LAMONT PRICE: Well, the true answer is ME. But since i’m not an option then the answer is CLEARLY Schwarzenegger. He was fucking the MAID while she served the family daily, got her pregnant and got her to shut up about it for 12 years!!! He BETTER be at the Playas Ball this year.
4. Describe your style of comedy in a haiku.
ANDY SANDFORD: I like telling jokes / not really good with haiku / but I did this one
EMILY HELLER: If people don’t laugh / I degrade myself fully / then make a fart noise
RON FUNCHES: Little Black Raining / Talking about his dumb life / Kinda stoned mostly
5. What’s your favorite thing about summer?
BETH STELLING: My favorite thing about summer is riding my bike along Lake Michigan. And trying not to crash as I check out my own cleavage and dudes who are impotent (from riding their bikes!).
DAVE THOMASON: Pushing over the chairs of public pool lifeguards and screaming “WHO IS THE ONE THAT WILL GUARD YOUR LIFE?”
EMILY HELLER: I live in San Francisco, so I guess my favorite thing about summer is the heavy jackets and the sensible boots we get to wear.
LAMONT PRICE: When I was a kid, to me summer meant I could drink juice everyday and noone could stop me. I realize now that juice was available to me all year round, but I was 12 and stupid then. Now, summer means getting shut down by big booty white girls around the country

Jono, you article here has entertained a lot. I just can’t believe comedians can such seriously answer some bit serious questions. Funny people are indeed mysterious and quite sensitive. The way they have answered the questions has been putting smile on my faces and a bit of raising eye brows and an ache tummy for laughing out loud.
