Kevan O’Brien is Post-Production
This week on the Guest Editor-er-ing front, we have Kevan O’Brien from Adobe. Obsessive fans of RooftopComedy might recognize him as one of the faces at this year’s Aspen RooftopComedy Festival’s panel talking about smushing comedy and new media together. And if you have the sixty-two minutes and fifty-four seconds to spare, you can watch that very panel right now!
Kevan O’Brien spent over 20 years in the troubled wilderness of Post Production making a living selling snake oil and fixing broken dreams. On realising even the French Foreign Legion required a social security number, Kevan decided to take a real job working for the software giant Adobe. Using his vast editing and production skills, Kevan avoids doing any real work but still edits award winning films in his spare time and enjoys live comedy and Thai food.
Often found baiting editors at least twice a month in San Francisco he is currently punting CS4 as the “Future” to the disenfranchised editing community, if only they’d give him a job.
And in what appears to be an emerging tradition with guest editors, the hows, whys, and hows on why they chose what they chose!
Lamar Williams - Getting out of college
We’ve all been there and hell parents just don’t realise do they! I didn’t get a diploma I just got a bill!
Jason Kanter - Shaving my nuts
Cautionary tale for us all, no matter how careful we are it’s never a good idea when drunk.
Kathleen McGee - Itchy boobs
Guys don’t have them and interested when mentioned, but love the ending.
Cousin Ricky Peardon - Haunted trailers
Well you sure as hell ain’t gonna get me living in one now, haunted or neighbours it’s all so wrong.
Mario Digiorgio - If McCain wins
Simple enough explanation of the complicated point of US politics to a stupid Brit, why do I live here?
