When the inevitable remake of Citizen Kane comes around for an edgier post 9/11, web 2.0-y, 18-34 male demographic, I bet it’ll have Zac Efron and Nick Jonas investigating the death of John McCain (portrayed by Wilford Brimley), and his final word, Maverick.

It turns out that Maverick was a reference to Tom Cruise’s character, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, in Top Gun. Or was it a reference to the 1994 film, Maverick starring Mel Gibson? Nevertheless, twist ending! Surprise!
