A Sick and Twisted Guest Editor
Spike (Craig Decker) of Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation is this week’s Guest Editor! Starting in 1990 (Although its roots go all the way back to 1977 as the Festival of Animation) at the Wheeler Auditorium at UC Berkeley (right in Rooftop’s backyard) and has touring all over since then, the festival has showcased early works (before they were famous) from such minds as Mike Judge, Matt Stone & Trey Parker, Bill Plympton, Don Hertzfeldt, and Craig McCracken. Just to name a few! He’s picture here! From our industry event this past Wednesday! Also, new Staff Picks! Check the both out now!
And in regards to this year’s festival he has curated, Spike has this to say:
Never before have I built such a custom line-up, from classics to world premieres. The likes of “Cuddle Sticks” (our sickest short ever… a new low!) to a true masterpiece “E1even Roses”
As promised from the Guest Editor page, here are the reasons why Spike chose what he chose!
John Conroy – Palin vs my girlfriend
He looks like the kinda guy who would be in our audience. Clean and funny. Also I like him because I hate Palin.
David Crowe – Obama makes dreams come true
He’s good – takes everyday situations and makes them funny without using bad language.
Matt Mayerle – Freaky party
Looks like John Header = has a good look and he’s pretty funny. Plus this one is easy… I & John Lasseter did this to Mike Gribble.
Drew Thomas – Learning Culture on TV
He’s okay – funny bit. He seems comfortable with the audience.
Steve Booth – Halloween hijinks
Nice joke. I would like to see more of him.
Sean Smith – Losing my friends to marriage
Lot of laughs. I do not only not like marriage, I don’t like hearing about it.

Thanks for the kind words Mr. Decker! I really appreciate it even if it does take a year or more for me to respond. Hope to have more stuff up soon.
