Jon Fitch Fights for Interviews with Paolo

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was heading over to the San Jose Improv to check out a night of local comedy, and to check out a sit-down interview with UFC fighter, and number one contender for the UFC Welterweight Championship, Jon Fitch. I was lucky enough, to interview Jon…after his first interview. Think of it as a post-interview interview. Anyway, the interview is below, and remember, Jon is fighting for the Welterweight belt this Saturday at this month’s UFC pay-per-view. So if he wins the belt, just remember I did get to talk to him, so it’s like I won too. So, you know, you can touch me if you want.

PS: I don’t ask him to put me in a rear naked choke, so you can check that off your list of things to watch out for.

PPS: I would like to thank Kris Tinkle for making this happen, and for Jon Fitch for being such a mensch.

Comedy & UFC, my two favorites.

Great job Paolo! This interview went well. I’m also looking forward to seeing the fight this weekend.

That’s cool that he’s all about the comedy. GSP (who he’s fighting) is pretty funny as well, but that’s mainly because he’s french and sounds like Pepe le Peu.

@Nick
Hey thanks Nick! I’m glad you liked it. It’s such a stacked card this weekend, I can’t believe it.

I got nothing but love for GSP, best believe me, but two of his quotes just will live forever in my mind.

1 – The infamous, “AW WASSS NOT IMPRESS BI YO PURRRFORMANCE” to Matt Hughes

2 – “I may not be from America, but I promise to keep this belt in NORTH AMERICA!” – Upon winning the belt from Hughes.

To which I say, suck on it South America.

ha, that line “I was not impressed by your pre-for-mance” is when I came up with the whole he sounds like Pep Le Peu thing. I swear to God, thats how it would sound if Pepe Le Peu ever muttered that phrase.
